Scientists put jellyfish genes into the hair follicles of mice, which grew fur that glowed fluorescent green under certain light.

Sept. 12 — Mice whose fur glows green may be the first step to using gene therapy to treat hair loss, baldness and perhaps even to permanently change hair color, researchers say.

GFP is fairly mature technology. It is commonly used as a marker for transformation, site specific promoter studies and such things. It wouldn't be in the final product.

I do have the gene in my freezer. I could send you some if you want to develop that certain glow.
